Slick Roads Send Truck in to River

Little Bighorn River — One incident including a semi truck traveling west through on Interstate 90 the morning of Thursday, March 9, slid past the bridge and into the Little Bighorn River.

A s nowstorm blowing over the area the previous night combined with cold weather caused slick roads that morning, according to Montana Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Sergeant Jay Nelson. Adding multiple vehicle incidents were reported.

The truck slide-off was called in at 7:17 a.m., and state troopers arrived at 7:51a.m. Luckily, no injuries were reported that morning. A wrecker from Sheridan arrived later that morning to pull the Semi out of the river bank. The wrecker was on the scene for hours.
