New Year's Powwows Scheduled Across Reservation

Powwows in Pryor, Crow Agency and Lodge Grass are scheduled to celebrate the New Year.

The Arrow Creek District will host singing, dancing and a community feed on Friday, Dec. 29 at Plenty Coups High School Gym in Pryor. District members are asked to bring drinks, utensils, side dishes and desserts. The community feed starts at 6 p.m. Grand Entry is 7 p.m.

The Center Lodge, Black Lodge, Mighty Few, Valley of the Giveaway and Arrow Creek Districts, the Crow Fair Managers and the Crow Tribal Executive Branch will join together to host singing, dancing and a community feed on Saturday, Dec. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 31 at the Little Big Horn Health and Wellness Center in the gym. Drum roll call starts at 5 p.m. Grand Entry is 6 p.m. The community feed starts at 7 p.m.

The Lodge Grass District will host singing, dancing and a community feed on Saturday, Dec. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 31 at the Lodge Grass Junior High School Gym. Night Hawk Society night is Saturday, members are asked to wear blue. Ree Society night is Sunday, members are asked to wear purple. Mayor Quincy Dabney is providing meat for the community feed, society members are asked to bring side dishes. Grand Entry starts at 6 p.m.
